Nick Martinelli took the plunge into the Joomla! Open Source world when he needed to provide a CMS based solution for Sourcebooks, Inc. the independent book publisher he works for. Based in Naperville, Illinois. He’s rolled out numerous large Joomla driven ecommerce and community websites. Nick specializes in ecommerce, digital media, CSS, SEO and design.
Nick is also President of Joomla Rockers his Joomla! consulting business which provides Joomla! website development, consulting and training. Joomla Rockers seeks to provide top-notch user friendly training and unique web solutions to businesses and artists. It started out as a passion for music and bringing it to the masses. Nick still contributes back to the music community by offering up his free time to build CMS based websites to indy bands in the Chicago area.
Along with that, Nick serves on the core leadership team of JoomlaChicago CMS Group where he has taught a plethora of topics including ecommerce, digital media and the four-part introduction to Joomla! series (in which help co authored). Nick brings a passionate and upbeat approach to teaching Joomla to the masses.
Besides being a technology nut he enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, listening to heavy metal music, playing xbox and taking long walks with his Italian Greyhounds. Be ready to rock and roll when attending the kick start class he’s co-presenting. Nick and Kendall Cabe presented the Joomla! KickStart Program at CMS Expo Chicago 2009 & 2010.
At the 2011 CMS Expo in Chicago, Nick will co-represent with Kendall Cabe the Joomla! CMS KickStart Program: Introduction, Content and Navigation , Templates and Extensions.
