Many thanks go out to Kyle Ledbetter and Gary Gisclair from JoomlaPraise for the new design cooked up for CMS Expo. You can get an advance look at some of the design elements on our Twitter page, here (www.Twitter.com/cmsexpo). Kinda cool!

I'm a designer myself. A few weeks back, I floated my design concepts around with a few of the speakers, attendees and designer-types I hang with. Overall, I got two thumbs up on my design (I'd be happy to show it off some time); but Kyle had another thought. Being ohhh...let's say more than my shoe-size younger than I, he saw a "good" design, but not a "great one" in the works. He got me when he said that the CMS Expo website should be a cutting edge example of what the design / development community.

Sure, my design was good - better than most - but my design was safe. Not cutting edge. Not risky. Certainly not one people would send their friends over to see. Kyle's a very talented designer and developer, and liked the direction we're going with the event - focused on CREATIVITY - so he volunteered to step up and give it a shot.

I applaud him for that, and I applaud the work he's produced as well. We expect to have the new site up on / by September 1st. In the meantime, you'll get a sense of the look-fit-feel by going to our Twitter site at www.Twitter.com/cmsexpo. Feel free to leave a comment here or on Twitter!

Thank you again, Kyle and Gary, for the outstanding work. You're aextremely talented, and Linda and I are very proud to showcase your work on our site!
