Compare Top CMSs At CMS Expo

CMS Comparison Panels at CMS Expo
2012 will mark the sixth annual CMS Expo Learning and Business Conference, to be held May 8th, 9th and 10th. Last year, ten CMSs were represented at CMS Expo, enabling users to get a LIVE, close-up look at many of the major CMSs from around the world. 2012 is on-track to be even better, with new comparison tracks, a new streamlined agenda and more.

CMS Expo is the one place to compare CMSs head-to-head, and get in-depth insights on how certain features and benefits will work to get the edge needed in today's rapidly changing CMS industry. Whether the CMSs featured are proprietary or open source, focused on small business or enterprise, non-profit, government or commercial applications, there’s something for everyone at CMS Expo.

That’s the reason we host the CMS Expo; to provide site users and business owners a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn about today's leading CMSs, and get to the truth about what works, from both a vendor and a user perspective. There's truly no better place to learn from the ones who know first-hand, than LIVE and in-person at CMS Expo. Not only are many CMS Founders and business leaders on-hand at CMS Expo, but you'll find expert-level users on-hand to give you insights to help put it all into context.

When making key business decisions, it's dangerous to rely on blog posts and PR-generated forum posts which are often a) inaccurate; b) obsolete c) more often than not, bought-and-paid-for posts; and thus, d) painfully biased. CMS Expo is the one forum to come get to the core of what works, what doesn't, what industry trends to anticipate, and who can best help you reach your goals.  It's only under the white hot spotlight of the LIVE CMS Expo, complete with fellow users, industry analysts and media personnel, business leaders and technologists, will you find the real answers to help you grow your CMS-based initiative with confidence.

New For 2012: Expanded Comparison Panels

The 2012 CMS Expo will dedicate its entire first day (May 8, 2012) toward CMS comparisons, and it promises to keep all attendees at full attention. A great source of information for those already decided on their CMS of choice as well as undecideds, the CMS Comparison Panels began in 2010 with the goal of providing a highly interactive forum to uncover the real features and benefits for CMS users in four specific categories:

1) Education
2) Enterprise
3) Government
4) Publishing
5) Small Business
6) Non-Profit Organizations

To help keep you on track and make sense of it all, CMS Expo welcomes leading CMS analysts, including Scott Liewehr, Tony White and Seth Gottlieb to moderate our line-up of head-to-head Comparison Panels. CMS Comparison Panels are unique in the industry, providing highly interactive, user-driven panel discusions in real-time.  Business managers and owners are invited to ask non-technical (and technical) questions of our highly adept panelists, to learn insights on what’s important to today’s CMS users at all levels - from enterprise to small business - for use in colleges and universities, government, commercial and non-profit applications.

No Vendor Pitches, and No Softballs Here.

Don't expect to see vendor pitches and slick press conference-style comparisons at CMS Expo. After all, you can stay at home and watch the pre-packaged stuff from the comfort of your desktop for that. CMS Expo's Comparison Panels are hard-hitting and to the point. Our moderators are professionals, but they're tough, and dedicated toward getting real answers for real users of today's most advanced and capable CMSs to help them achieve demanding goals, dictated by their own audience. It's a two-way street at CMS Expo too. The CMSs represented appreciate the toughness too, helping them uncover and discern what's needed to grow their own businesses.

At past CMS Expos, we've spotlighted CMSs such as AgilityCMS, Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, Accrisoft Freedom, DotNetNuke, TERMINALFOUR, Hippo, Alfresco, Umbraco, TYPO3, SilverStripe and many more.

Our annual Call For CMSs is under way right now. Contact us to get information on how your CMS can become a Featured CMS, with its own full day of training and discovery, in addition to our Comparison Panels, User Group Meetups and our annual CMSA Spotlight Awards. If your CMS has the capacity to draw a minimum of 100 users and/or potential users to the learning conference, we recommend you strongly consider the Featured CMS designation. It's a great way to reach out to current and potential users and customers, and provide them with a highly energized learning experience, plus garner valuable, qualitative, in-depth feedback from sophisticated users you simply can't get on any online forum or social media site.

Featured CMSs receive a full day-track of training, plus they are included in all CMS Comparison Panels, the CMSA Spotlight Awards, plus a membership booth and more.

Not up for providing a full training / learning program this year, but still want the exposure of a high-impact CMS Expo? No worries. New in 2012, CMSs have the choice to become a Spotlight CMS. Rather than providing a training program and the logistics and personnel which go with that as a Featured CMS, Spotlight CMSs have a booth at the 3-day conference, plus they participate in Comparison Panels (on a limited basis), CMSA Spotlight Awards and more. It's a great way for growing CMSs to get exposure, and build their following for the future!

In total, there are four Featured CMSs planned for 2012, and an additional eight Spotlight CMSs. If you're interested in having your CMS of choice represented at CMS Expo, contact us today for details and availability!
