All Submitters to the CMS Spotlight Awards must agree to these rules in order to qualify for consideration...
Entry Submissions
- Entries refer to Works performed (or "live") from March 1st of the previous year, through March 1st of the CMSA Spotlight Awards.
- For final consideration, Entry(s) must be created in, or compatible with one (or more) of the Showcased CMSs for CMS Expo 2012, which includes the following: CloudCMS, DotNetNuke, Drupal, Joomla, Hannon Hill, Liferay, MODx, Movable Type, MuraCMS, Perforce Chronical, PyroCMS, Sitecore, Sitefinity, TYPO3, Wondercode.
- Anyone may submit an Entry, unless prohibited by the Entry's creator or CMS Association (CMSA).
- Appropriate credits (including proper spelling, etc) are the full responsibility of the Entry Submitter.
- Awards Entries are judged in comparison to other Entries within the specific CMS. An award may, or may not be presented which compares Works across CMSs (i.e. comparing a CMS Site powered by brand A vs. brand B).
- The submitted Entry (site, theme, app, etc) must be a viewable via a URL and/or screen capture, as provided for in the Entry Form.
- All Entries are FINAL. Submitted Entry must be complete and in working order by the submission date; no “newer version” will be allowed to replace an already accepted submission.
- Site Entries may only be nominated for one industry type; although a website that is entered for Best CMS Site can also be a part of the body of work submitted for consideration for Best Designer or Developer.
- Entries that are submitted for consideration for Best CMS App may also be a part of the body of work submitted for consideration for Best CMS Developer.
- All Entries will be posted for community viewing and community input on the CMS Expo website and may also be posted on other CMSA websites.
- If any information provided on the submission form changes, it is the responsibility of the submitter to notify CMSA by email of any changes.
- CMSA reserves the right to not award a category.
- The final CMSA Spotlight Award Winners will be announced live, at the CMSA Spotlight Awards Celebration.
- Award Winners need not be present to win (however, it is encouraged).
Number Of Entries
- Limit one Entry per category, per Submitter.
- There is no limit to the number of Entry Submissions the Submitter ("Nominator") may make (other than the number of categories available, as there is a limit of one Entry per category).
- Each Single Entry Submission must be made using the CMSA's official online Entry Submission Form.
Entry Fee
- $10 Entry Fee payment is due at time of Entry Submission.
- Payment must be made online, using the Entry Submission Form, by Credit Card or PayPal only (PayPal is CMSA's secure processor for credit cards).
Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations must be made on or by May 2, 2012 by calling the CMSA at (815) 455-2900.
- There are no refunds.
Judging Panel
- Final CMSA Spotlight Awards are decided by a panel of awards judges, appointed by CMSA.
- Judges may take into consideration input from the public, when making their decision(s), however awards judges' decisions are final.
- Judges are granted great lattitude in making their decisions, including but not limited to moving Entry(s) to category(s) which they feel better fit the stated criteria.
- Criteria for Entries will include (but not limited to) the following (where applicable): Originality, Usefulness, Creativity & Innovation, Beauty, Usability, Ease of Installation, Positive Impact, Speed, Stablity, Integration capabilities, Flexibility, and how effectively the Entry Fosters Progress In the CMS Community.
- CMSA will choose Top Nominees from all Entry Submissions, to be determined by the Judges.
Award Winners Receive:
- CMSA Spotlight Award certificate
- Official winning CMSA Spotlight Awards Winner Badge, to use online.
- Recognition at the CMS Expo during the CMSA Spotlight Awards celebration.
- Online recognition on CMSA websites, via blogposts, etc.
- Press and Media Releases, via the CMSA.
- Photo opportunities (if Winner is present)
- Winning Entries may use the CMSA Spotlight AwardTM Winner logo indefinitely.
Legalese
- Winners and nominations can use corresponding logos as described above. Please help preserve the honor and respect these awards by treating the logos as intended.
- Submitters agree that they have the permission and approval of the Entrant (and / or owner) to submit Entrant's Work(s).
- By submitting the piece of Work, you are giving CMSA the right to use that information in any online, print or other advertising or public relations by CMS Association Inc.
- Submissions which may require any Non Disclosure Agreements (NDA) will not be accepted or honored.
